Despite being quiet for a while, we still receive emails regularly from all our dearest customers. That's so sweet of you ladies! Currently, we are in a "hibernating" mode as we are trying to explore possible new business model as well as revamping the entire price list due to the unpredictability of foreign currency exchange rates and the price adjustment by quite a number of brands. We try our best to reply all emails received as soon as we can. Feel free to drop us another reminder email if we are unable to reply you soon enough.

Another issue that we'd like to raise in this post is the emergence of another website that bear similar name i.e luxpurse.com (selling replicas) which is totally unrelated to our website, luxpurse.BLOGSPOT.com that DOES NOT TOLERATE ANY UNAUTHENTICITY. So, please be careful ladies!

Steps To Pre-Order:-

4. Once deposit of S$ 500 is received, Luxpurse will process your order. If item is not available, your deposit will be fully refunded upon return. As stock movement in Europe is very unpredictable, we apologize we will not check the availability of each and every order and feedback again as this process is very time consuming and we have a large number of orders to process. We will base on our experience to gauge the availability before deciding whether to take a pre-order. For past season items, we will not accept your order. For classic collections and items from current season, there should be no issue in getting them.

5. Once your item has arrived, you will be contacted for item collection. This must be done within a week upon item arrival. In the subsequent episodes, Keith Png brought us to Taipei. A renowned fashion designer, Huang Shu Chi @ Kiki, was featured in this episode. Amongst her designs shown, this piece of chiffon toga in light marine caught my attention. Toga fashion is inspired by the ancient Rome where a piece of long, garment was wrapped around the body and only worn by men in the past. Look, how modern fashion designers have brilliantly transformed these togas into some of the runway collections we see today.

I am clueless as to the pricing but if this piece of toga were to go on sale, I believe it will be a good investment as it does seem appropriate to be worn as a maternity dress too!
Another piece as modelled during the show was this piece of evening dress which appears rather common at the first glance from the front view but absolutely sexy from the side and back! So if you have a tiny waist to show off, this is definitely a piece to consider!

Has the Paris-Moscow fever subsided? It's not over yet for some. This week alone, I still received enquiries on the Paris-Moscow collection including the Matrioshka doll range. I have no Matrioshka dolls from Chanel. I do have the real ones though, which was brought home during my visit to Moscow some time ago.

Yes, that's a piece of pre-fall 2.55 tote in Burgundy sitting as the background of the Matrioshka Dolls. This is probably the last piece from the Paris-Moscow collection which I will put up for sale. Undoubtedly, I have contemplated for the longest time if I should part with this piece of tote. Burgundy is my most favourite colour for the pre-fall release followed by gold!

I almost wanted to display it in the cabinet together with the Matrioshka dolls! Luxpurse is pricing the tote at less than S$ 4 K, brand new of course!! I have not checked out the price at local boutique but was told it's more than S$5K or so? Fashion Asia on Channel U

The 1st episode of the 30-minute programme Fashion Asia debutted last night on Channel U, hosted by Felicia Chin. She made a few short interviews with some young, local Singapore fashion designers who introduced their lines of designs and of course, their boutiques which I am sure to visit! In subsequent episodes, these designers will be travelling to a couple Asian cities (Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong, Taipei, etc.) together with some local artistes to introduce the latest fashion trends in the region. I am quite looking forward to the upcoming episodes.

I like the concept of "one design, multiple looks", transforming the very same piece of ready-to-wear into different styles. Desmond Yang, who owns the brand Abyzz, demonstrated how a simple-looking tote bag can be transformed into a skirt and an overall. Most importantly, not compromising the style and wearability!

Another two designers featured were the multi-award winning designer Alfie and Keith who owns the label MU and KOOPS respectively. There are a few pieces of dress from KOOPS that I would love to own!

Love the details of the bow and structured ruffles.

Up-fold / Down-fold of the collar creates a day and night look! I wish to have this to wear to work but prefer it in ivory though. This piece of Keith Png's creation looks much better than in this photo!

If you are also aware of the local show biz scene, perhaps you may be interested to know that Fann Wong's ROM gown is designed by Keith too!

I have fallen in love with Loewe Nappa Aire in Gold Calf Leather. Nappa aire has been an all time favourite for its soft, buttery lambskin giving the light weight. But it often leaves some of us wonder if the bag will tear apart due to overloading. Now this concern is finally addressed with the S/S 09 collection. A perfect combination of a large size Nappa aire made from the tough, calf leather in the colour I am looking for, gold! Absolutely adore that little front pocket adding some details to the design.

Apart from calf leather, Nappa Aire S/S 09 also comes in a deerskin-like material in grey and navy which retails at S$ 3690.

Recently, many readers have emailed me to clarify on the various sizes of Miu Miu Nappa Charm. To avoid confusion, I am posting all Nappa Charm sizes which I have come across so far.

1) Single handle Large Nappa Charm - larger than the classic size and pyramidal in shape

2) Double handle Medium Nappa Charm - from the past season, shorter and wider than the classic size

3) Small Nappa Charm - opening is narrower than the classic size and more pyramidal in shape but size wise is not very much smaller than the classic one

4) Classic Nappa Charm - colours available at the moment: red, light brown/dark beige, green, black, white, blue, grey and dark brown

5) Mini Nappa Charm - cutie mini Nappa Charm is one size smaller than the classic Nappa Charm and similar in shape (will post picture once I see it physically in Europe)

I have also received quite a number of enquiries on Miu Miu bags in sapphire (zaffiro) colour. Just to clarify, this colour is really something from the past season and only available if boutiques are still stocking some of these older batches.

Nonetheless, like what I always mention, whatever that is available now may not be there weeks down the road but on the positive side, whatever that is unavailable at the moment may be available again!

"Coco Avant Chanel"

What does the title mean? In English, it means "Coco Before Chanel". This is a French movie depicting the life story of Miss Coco Chanel before she emerged as the world-renowned fashion designer, our all time favourite. For readers here who adore her Classic and 2.55 collections to bits, I think we should watch and see how her earlier life has so much influence on her style and design which in turn, has also deeply influenced us and our pocket too, ah hemm..

The trailer has no English subtitles. Hopefully the movie itself will have. I have no idea when it will be shown locally. Warner Brothers will debut "Coco Avant Chanel" in France on April 22nd and in the US sometime later this year.

Our bags are meant for bag lovers who are keen to own these pretty bags advertised in my blog. Strictly not for commercial purpose. If you are more concerned about how much we am making rather than how much you are saving, you are better off purchasing from boutiques*

2. Can Luxpurse help to bring that dream bag of mine back for me?

We would love to! However, subject to our convenience. Unreasonable request will not be entertained. Bringing your item from abroad will be categorized as pre-ordering. Deposit will be required for pre-ordered bags. When pre-ordering starts, updates will be sent via email or announced in our blog. If your dream bag is out of stock, it is just unfortunate and not our fault. In the event as such, your deposit will be fully refunded. You can also provide an alternative item to purchase should your 1st choice isn't available. Details of pre-ordering will be provided when it starts. If you insist having a box and receipt for your item, please indicate BEFORE placing your order as such preference helps Luxpurse to determine whether to take your order or not due to luggage space constraint. Otherwise, Luxpurse is not obliged to provide AFTER your item is being purchased.

3. Are the pre-ordered items authentic? Where are they being purchased from?

All items are 100% authentic, personally hand-picked and thoroughly checked before they are brought/sent back from abroad. We try out best to pick the best available item at the boutiques but even a brand new one from boutique does not turn out to be absolutely flawless at times. If you have doubts about the authenticity of our bags, kindly do not purchase. At times, some in-stocks/ready stocks are purchased from reliable collectors or our network of business partners/buyers from all over the world especially for stocks that are not found/out of stock locally but with high demand. All in all, these items are authentic. So does it matter if it's from Europe, US, Asia or Africa? :) As it's our trade secret who are business partners are, kindly do not insist on wanting us to disclose who our partners are and where our bags come from. If you are interested in the business, email us and we can explore possibilities of partnership.

4. What is the procedure in order to get that dream bag of mine to be brought home from abroad?

Procedure is simple! Should you have further enquiries, kindly drop us an email to provide clear description of the item that interest you. Part of the procedure is already explained in 2.

5. Can I make reservation / layaway?

Yes. Kindly reserve only if you are certain. Reservation will be released after 48 hours if no confirmation is received. Confirmation of reservation comes in the form of deposit. Layaway is given on case by case basis. Once layaway plan starts, change of item is not permitted unless there is another buyer to take over the initial item.

*For those who MIA/do not respond to emails/sms after reservation, you will no longer be entertained for future reservation/order as such act of unthoughtfulness can affect the others who are genuinely keen and cause others to wait much longer than required.*

6. I saw some items in your blog which interest me. Can I purchase?

Most items posted in the blog are all from our personal collection which have never been used and are available for sale to readers and friends who are keen. However, we reserve every right to decline offers made to us in the event that we can't bear to part with them. Having said that, it is best to email me for further discussion. :) Certain items under the pre-loved corners belong to others. Hence, sales & purchase of those items are subjected to negotiation with the owners. Luxpurse does not guarantee the authenticity of items posted for other owners.

7. How is your price like compare to the local boutiques?

Definitely lower! This is not a commercial site to mass-sell designer bags. We only have limited pieces of items in each batch of our own collection everytime we return from abroad.

8. Can you reduce your price?

No. Why? Please refer to 6. Our bags are priced much lower than retail price and they are our precious. So please do not ask for "best price". There is no urgency to sell.

9. How do I make payment and how do I collect my item?

For payment details, kindly drop me an email. Venue for collection will definitely be somewhere public and will only be notified once your item arrives.

10. Can I exchange/refund items/deposit?

No. Please refer to 3 and 5. Please think carefully before placing your order. Once deposit is placed, it will be refunded only on basis where item is unavailable or unauthentic (which will never happen). As bags are brought/sent all the way back from abroad, sometimes it's unavoidable to have some very minor damages here and there especially on the box. If that makes you uncomfortable, kindly do not place your order. Once items are collected, strictly no refund. Thanks for your understanding in order to make the entire process as smooth and pleasant as possible.
